Today's chord uses an open string in addition to a standard Drop-Two guitar chord voicing to create a piano-type voicing.
For the musical example, I used similar voicings (on the lower four strings) and the open B string for added color. The comping pattern is typical of 90's R&B ballads. It can also be an accompaniment for a guitar solo or a guitar ballad.
