Today's chord has a minor 2nd on top which creates a nice bite to the chord!
For the musical example, I played a funk-flavored groove with Emin7 going to A7. I also played a tritone slide on the A7, which is very idiomatic to funk. I've heard this a lot from Jaco Pastorius's bass lines.
