Chord #5 - D+(add9)

chordaday5

This is a voicing that you can use for both Major Chords and Dominant Chords. Because the 7th is not in the chord itself, it presents some obvious multiple uses. In my line example however, I chose to resolve to the major 7th - thus implying that I treated this as a voicing for a D+Maj7(9). You can easily adapt the line to a dominant chord by resolving to a C (the flatted 7th) or another note.

Enjoy!
