Chord #36 - DbMaj7(#11)/Ab
Today's chord is an inversion of a DbMaj7 chord. There are three main highlights in this voicing:
1) It uses a low register Db Major triad in 2nd inversion.
2) The top half spells out an Fsus2 triad.
3) It uses one open string in the voicing (the open 3rd string)
For the musical example, I alternated between today's chord and a common C Major in 2nd inversion. The right hand rhythm is typical of a acoustic folk style guitar part. This could be played pick-style, hybrid picking or totally fingerstyle like I did on the recording.
Enjoy!
