Today's chord is a great multipurpose chord for both Lydian and Lydian b7 usage. This voicing can also be viewed as a Bb triad over an Ab5 power chord.
For the musical example, I played a III-IV-II-V-I (Cmin7-F7-Bbmin7-Eb7-AbMaj7). Besides arpeggiating the chords, I played diatonic 3rd intervals on the Bbmin7 chord change. I also used Chord #9 for the Eb7 chord before resolving to our chord for today. This whole phrase could be used as an ending passage for a jazz ballad.
