Chord #66 -D/C
Today's chord is a hybrid voicing. It contains an open voiced D Major triad over a C bass note.
For the musical example, I played a simple bossa nova vamp using today's chord and G/C chord voiced in a similar manner.
This could be used for an introduction for a Major Key Bossa Nova piece. In fact, one of the songs that today's chord reminds me of is Aquas De Marco (Waters of March) - a composition of Antonio Carlos Jobim.
